CHOOSING A BLOCK / TOTEM
There are a couple of names for this block of timber that is strapped to the flute. They are block, totem or fetish There is a channel in the bottom of the block which allows your breath to travel along from the slow air chamber to the true sound hole to create the sound. They can be plain or custom made. It is your choice. Below are a few different blocks and totems, that l have made in the past, l am always up for a challenge to make a different animal or symbol. |
